Kirsten Nordland

mezzo soprano

Norwegian-American Kirsten Nordland is a Cincinnati-based mezzo-soprano & teaching-artist. Nordland received her Masters in Music in Vocal Performance from Bowling Green State University. She is a current student of Margaret Lattimore. Most recently, she has joined the Toledo Opera Guild as a chorister in 2022.

This season, Nordland performed at Bowling Green State University as in L'incoronazione di Poppea (Nerone), at NUOVA Vocal Arts as in Flight (Stewardess), & at Shakespeare Opera Theatre in Shakespeare & Berlioz’s Much Ado About Nothing (Ursula) in DC.

In January 2024 alongside her artistic partner, composer Amalia Crevani, the duo completed together in Minneapolis SongSLAM with the world premiere of “The Dark Place.”

Nordland is also an avid social activist & digital portrait artist & collagist. She strives to combine her passions to help serve the longevity of opera.
